Admission FREE but booking essential

An engagement project for young people in partnership with National Museums Scotland. After a visit to the National Museum of Scotland’s new Art & Design galleries, participants will attend workshops at the Dick Institute and work with practising jewellery design collective O-Pin. They will learn and experiment with some of the processes and techniques used to create the wearable art and portable objects in the exhibition. Focusing on alternative materials such as plastics, wood and paper, participants will be guided through the design process which will result in a final piece of jewellery or sculpture personal to them. These works will be showcased at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.

Suitable for those with an interest in design, craft and art, and those working towards further education and portfolio building.
