Young People

East Ayrshire Leisure provides an extensive range of activities, classes, workshops, education and services for children and young people.

Heritage:

We regularly host workshops, visits and educational events in our venues. Our collections offer young people and adults the opportunity to explore Ayrshire’s past, to discover or to reminisce.

Libraries:

We provide a range of books suitable for babies, toddlers and children up to 16 years old as well as storytelling, crafts, workshops and regular fun days. Visits to the library by nurseries, schools and other groups/clubs can also be arranged.

Countryside:

As well as regular events for children, young people and families, the Countryside Rangers run two nature clubs which meet every second Saturday throughout the year.

Sport:

Within our sports facilities we host regular activities for kids and additional activities for children and young people throughout the holiday periods. Don’t forget that you can also book a funtastic birthday party!

Arts:

With regular shows, workshops and post show discussions as well as an established youth theatre, we offer a range of experiences and learning for young people.

Museums:

Previous exhibitions popular with young people have included Wallace and Gromit and Quentin Blake. We also offer education for schools and groups based on current exhibitions. Visits to our museums from schools, nurseries and other groups are welcome by appointment.
