Parks and Open Spaces
East Ayrshire has some of the most beautiful open spaces in South West Scotland, including historic parks and gardens, golf courses, playing fields, cemeteries and one of Scotland’s most visited Country Parks.
We are committed to maintaining free open access to all of the open spaces in its ownership and would encourage everyone to make the most of what’s on their doorstep – East Ayrshire is just waiting to be enjoyed!!
However, access to this land does comes with responsibilities.
Please make sure that you follow these simple steps outlined in the openspace leaflet on this page to make every visit to the outdoors a pleasurable experience for everyone. This guide aims to give you an outline of the Scottish Outdoor Access Code as it relates to the open spaces in East Ayrshire.
