Rural Skills Award

Fantastic news! Dean Castle Country Park has been awarded £10,000 by the Heritage Lottery Fund for a Traditional Rural Skills project thanks to money raised by National Lottery players #HLFsupported

The Traditional Rural Skills project will be a year-long celebration of our traditional rural skills as part of Scotland’s Year of History, Heritage and Archaeology 2017. It will fund tools and training for volunteers in hedge-laying, dry stane dyking, coppicing and scything to help support the Park’s wildlife, promote biodiversity and keep traditional countryside skills alive #HLFstories #HHA2017
