National Volunteer Week 2016

National Volunteer Week is an annual celebration recognising the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make in their communities across the UK. This year it's taking place from 1st–12th June 2016 with an additional 5 days enabling more people than ever to take part and more time to celebrate.

To coincide with this, the Countryside Services team at Dean Castle & Country Park  are organising the Big Dean River Clean on Sunday 12th June – this is a great chance to lend a hand and help clean up the river to make it safe for wildlife. It's also a chance to explore parts of the country park you’ve never been to, learn more about wildlife and help us look after this special habitat.

Please wear old clothes  - you might get a bit muddy and wellies are essential.
