This production is based on 292 “her stories” - former patients and staff of the renowned Samaritans Women’s Hospital in Govanhill, the destination for thousands of women with “wummin troubles” for a hundred years until its closure in 1992.
Set in 1982, against the political backdrop of Margaret Thatcher, it mirrors the stories of three Glasgow women sorting out their own government, with the added backdrop of a great 80s soundtrack.
A hilarious yet thought provoking show about women and their welfare throughout the decades – from post and pre-natal, hysterectomies to the change and everything in between. Packed with one-liners and charged with tears and laughter.
“Tears and laughter throughout. A testament to women. Fabulous show”
- The Herald and Evening Times
“A great girls night out” - Southside Fringe
