Open Studios Ayrshire - Preview Event 2019

Just seven years ago, a small group of Ayrshire artists got together and formed Open Studios Ayrshire. Their main aim was to raise the profile of artists and makers working in Ayrshire by opening the doors of their own studios and welcoming visitors to step inside and find out more.

To get a flavour of the delights of this year’s artists and makers, come along to the preview event on Saturday the 30th of March at the Dick Institute, Kilmarnock from 1.00pm until 3.00pm. Artists and makers will be happy to talk to visitors and will have cards, coasters and other small items for sale. Open Studios Ayrshire 2019 brochures will be available to help you plan your visits.

Alongside the OSA Preview, The Dick Institute are hosting a wonderful exhibition of botanical photographs by Karl Blossfeldt, one of the defining photographers of the twentieth century. And should you need any further encouragement, the café will be open for teas, coffees and cake.
