I AM HERE Engagement Project Exhibition
A new exhibition which is opening shortly at the Dick Insitute features work by young people who took part in the I AM HERE: Engagement Project. The project ran in conjunction with ‘I Am Here’, a Crafts Council touring exhibition of contemporary jewellery design shown at The Dick Institute in Kilmarnock.

East Ayrshire Leisure Trust’s Cultural Development team delivered the engagement programme for children and young people from East Ayrshire in partnership with National Museums Scotland and working with O-PiN jewellery makers and educators.
Fifteen P7 classes from across East Ayrshire and a group of young people participated in exhibition visits and workshops, exploring contemporary jewellery design and experimenting with jewellery making techniques and materials.
The works on display at the Young people’s Gallery were created by the children and young people during the project, and were previously showcased at the National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh in June 2017.
The new exhibiiton runs atn the Dick Institute Young People's Gallery from 22nd September to 25th November 2017 and is FREE.
