Starry Nights at Dean Castle

The magical illuminated Christmas event that brought a sprinkling of stardust to Dean Castle is back this year – and promises again to be packed with festive fun, entertainment and the sparkle of Christmas. Starry Nights, the enchanting experience for all the family, returns to the Kilmarnock’s Dean Castle Country Park, bringing the Spirit of Christmas and a whole wonderland of excitement from festive lights, lasers and captivating festive sound installations, to our famous Cocktails and Carols performances.

Join us this December for a truly unforgettable festive spectacular, and a feast for all the senses as Starry Nights invites you to embark on a thrilling trip through an immersive lighting trail with lasers filling the skies with the colours of Christmas. There’s so much to see and do for children and adults alike with Singing Trees, a fairy den, Marshmallow Land, Candy Cane Lane, the Snowball Blizzard and even the mischievous Grinch. Starry Nights is also host to Scotland’s longest star-shaped tunnel, a magical immersive experience that transports you into a land of sensory wonder.

After being dazzled by the trail, adults can warm up with a glass of mulled wine while the whole family marvels at the troupe of roving entertainers including stilt walkers and frozen fairies. Or grab your festive food and put your feet up, sit back and relax as you enjoy the sparkling Christmas atmosphere in our Carols & Cocktails space as our singers perform a range of classic carols.

                                   Santa’s Grotto

The one thing not to be missed is a visit to Santa’s Grotto. He might be busy but he’s always got time to meet the kiddies. Pop in to check on Santa and his Elves as they prepare for the big day. Help the Elves get ready for Christmas as they still have lots to do and of course there’s always a special gift from Santa for every child.
