Burns House Museum Fairy Trail - did you know that Ayrshire is steeped in fairy folklore? Visit the Burns House Museum this Spring to learn more about local legends and take part in fun fairy-themed activities!
Dean Castle - Chick Hunt Spring has arrived at Dean Castle, and our baby chicks have hatched! These mischievous little chicks have escaped and are now hiding in the castle. How many can you spot during your visit? Count all the chicks you find and tell us your total at the end of your journey. Happy hunting!

Get out and about with the Countryside Team, have fun, discover nature and learn new skills with our popular activities.
Free (click here to find your map ) Easter Egg Trail - find 10 eggs hidden around the park. Follow the map along the trail, look high & low. Find all the eggs to earn a chocolate treat and 10% discount at the Kiosk.
Pond Dipping - from Tadpoles to Water Tigers, dip the lagoon pond and see what amazing creatures you can find.
Track & Trails - learn how to identify the elusive wildlife of the country park by looking at the signs they leave behind.
Den Building and Campfire Cooking - create your own woodland shelter in the forest before enjoying a foraged feast.
Mini-Beast Hunt - discover more about the bugs buzzing through the air and under your feet on a minibeast hunt.
Sow & Grow - help the bees and butterflies by making and planting your own pot with wildflower seeds.
Natural Dyes - Have a go at dying some natural materials using leaves, roots and flowers.
SPORTS
Active Schools will be delivering multi-sport activities at Barony Sorts Village Rose Reilly Sports Centre Loudoun Leisure Centre Wm. McIlvanney Leisure Centre Doon Valley Leisure Centre.
Led by the Active Schools Coordinators, designed for children aged 5-12 to experience a range of sports and fun games while improving confidence, co-ordination and communication.
