Discovering Malky McCormick Exhibition.    Discovering Malky McCormick invites visitors to come behind-the-scenes as staff at The Dick Institute catalogue and curate a collection of artwork by Malky McCormick. This is in preparation for 2026’s Malky McCormick: A Life in Colour exhibition in the museum’s Main Gallery. Offering a preview of some of the amazing artwork in this collection, Discovering Malky McCormick encourages you to enter Malky’s colourful world.

The ‘Future Malkys’ Art Station provides you with art materials to try out different techniques. After completing your masterpiece, it will be featured on our gallery wall. In this area, you can learn cartoonist techniques such as 'ghosting' others artwork and how to draw caricatures!
Enter into a gameshow in our Win, Lose or Draw Area! We have everything you need to play STV’s 1990s game where Malky was the resident artist.
Cosy up with a book in our comfy mini-library. There are a number of Malky inspired books for all ages.
Every Saturday between 12.30pm and 2.30pm, the museum team will be in the gallery ready to talk about all things Malky and what goes into museum curation work. Drop-in during opening hours.
