Tapestry Women's History Tour

Dean Castle Women’s History Tour

The month of March commemorates women’s history and Dean Castle is ready to celebrate its own ‘herstory’. We will be recognizing the remarkable contributions of women to Scottish history by providing a specialised tour that explores the legacies of the women who lived and worked within its walls. This will include talks on the likes of labour, rebels, royals, and entertainment - from the medieval to the modern. The tour will take approximately 90 minutes and will include exploring some behind the scenes areas of the Castle weather permitting, and focus on honouring our own unique Scottish women’s history.

Please note:

  • This tour involves navigating uneven surfaces, narrow passageways, and spiral staircases.
  • Some areas may be restricted due to weather conditions.
  • All children must be supervised.
  • The 90 minute duration is only approximate.
  • This tour is not suitable for people with certain underlying health conditions.
By booking, you confirm that you understand and accept these conditions. Your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities.
