Open Studios Ayrshire (OSA) is proud to present Finding Form, a group exhibition at The Baird Institute in Cumnock, showcasing a vibrant and varied selection of work by artists from across Ayrshire. Opening on 4 September 2025 and running until 24 January 2026, the exhibition celebrates the region as a flourishing hub of art and creativity.

Each artist has responded to the theme of “form”, interpreted as concept, process, or physical presence. This open-ended brief has inspired a diverse and compelling range of responses, from representational to abstract, tactile to structural, stillness to movement. The result is a dynamic collection that explores how artists shape, discover, and redefine form through their practice. More than a showcase of individual talent, Finding Form highlights the shared commitment of OSA artists to innovation, craftsmanship, and creative practice.

Founded in 2012, Open Studios Ayrshire is a self-managed collective of professional and emerging artists working across a wide spectrum of mediums, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, photography, printmaking, glass, mixed media, jewellery and metalwork in silver and pewter. OSA provides a supportive platform for artists to exchange ideas, develop their practice, and connect directly with the public.

This exhibition offers a snapshot of Ayrshire’s rich and evolving creative landscape. It reflects the dedication of a community that values artistic excellence, accessibility, and collaboration. Finding Form is both a tribute to individual artistic vision and a collective celebration of Ayrshire as a vibrant centre for contemporary art and design.
