Learn How To Draw Cartoons
Sign up for our free Cartoon Art Classes for kids This February/March!
Are you interested in learning how to draw cartoons? East Ayrshire Leisure Trust is offering the chance for kids, aged 6 to 11, to embrace their artistic side by signing up to our Cartoon Art Classes taught by professional Cartoonists!
There will be 6 classes in total, all taking place in The Dick Institute Event Space every Saturday, 11.30am to 12.30pm. The first class is on the 21st of February.
Inspired by legendary Ayrshire-based Cartoonist Malky McCormick, these classes will be a chance to develop your skills and find your personal artistic style. The Scottish Cartoon Art Studio are teaching the classes, providing participants with the chance to learn from the experts! Over 6 weeks, the classes will cover different topics like superhero comic book design and cartoon colour theory.
The class space will be comfortable and relaxed, with fidget toys and our café, making it an inclusive and enjoyable place to spend one day a week taking classes in. These classes are completely free - fully funded by Museums Galleries Scotland. Participants only need to bring themselves as all materials will be provided! We welcome all interested in the art of cartoon, from complete beginners to kids who are keen to improve their work.
