Tastes of Ayrshire

Tastes of Ayrshire  returns to Kilmarnock’s Dean Castle with delicious local produce and fun for all the family
local producers from across Ayrshire and beyond will gather in the castle to showcase their wares — a hand-picked selection of the very best food, drink, and artisanal products the region has to offer.
From freshly baked goods and artisan cheeses to handcrafted spirits and savoury treats, the event is a celebration of local flavour. It’s a golden opportunity for foodies, families, and curious visitors alike to sample and purchase high-quality produce directly from the makers — and to support the independent businesses that form the backbone of Ayrshire’s thriving food and drink scene.
The event is set against the spectacular backdrop of Dean Castle and Country Park, a location that has long held cultural and historical significance in East Ayrshire.
This year, the courtyard will once again be filled with bustling stalls and local food trucks, creating an irresistible aroma of street food favourites. Visitors will be able to pick up tips and recipes from local chefs, showcasing how to turn regional ingredients into delicious, crowd-pleasing dishes.
As part of a wider calendar of events dedicated to promoting Ayrshire’s rich culinary identity, the Tastes of Ayrshire event is more than just a market — it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and craft.
Dean Castle in Kilmarnock offers a warm welcome, a full stomach and a deeper appreciation for the producers and traditions that make this part of Scotland so special.
