Rose Reilly Wellbeing Suite Wins Award
We're celebrating the success of Rose Reilly Active Wellbeing Suite at the Scottish Leisure Network Group Conference, where we won the 'Impact and Innovation Award'.
East Ayrshire Leisure is one of two Trusts in Scotland to introduce this power assisted exercise concept to our communities and demonstrates our commitment to finding new ways of reaching individuals within our communities that aren’t engaging in physical activity. The power assisted exercise machines provide a ‘helping hand’ in a low impact, full-body workout circuit. Safe for all age groups and abilities it has proven to be hugely beneficial to those recovering from injury or suffering from a chronic illness. It also assists with mobility in older adults and can also assist those wanting to gradually ease themselves into exercise.
The Wellbeing Suite outperformed the SLNG's average scores, receiving 100% in some categories.
Among the positive praise for the facility, one judge commented "East Ayrshire Leisure Trust demonstrates an impressive, forward-thinking approach to community wellbeing through its innovative Active Wellbeing Hub at Rose Reilly Sports Centre. The organisation provides strong evidence of impact, clear partnership working with Health & Social Care and a genuine commitment to accessibility and inclusion. The future plans show ambition and sustainability, with clear potential for wider replication."
