Core Path Plan

The Land Reform Scotland Act (2003) was implemented in February 2005, giving us several powers and duties to maintain responsible use of the outdoors, both land and inland water.

These include the duty to produce a Core Path Plan which meets the needs of the community, providing a number of routes which give reasonable access throughout the area.

Our Core Path Plan was adopted on 5 November 2008 and is currently subject to review. Further updates and details relating to the planned consultation exercise will be uploaded in due course.

You can view the maps of the current Core Path Plan using the maps link below. To find the core path plan routes click on the + icon next to the Leisure link and then click core path routes.
